Welcome to Edlesborough Pre-School
Edlesborough Primary Academy Pre-School began operating from the premises of Edlesborough School in September 2013 having previously operated from Edlesborough Village Hall. This refurbished annex to the school is an enticing learning space for up to 24 children, converted from the school’s former ICT suite.
We currently have a team of four practitioners; Mrs Rigby (Pre-School Leader), Mrs Needham, Mrs Woolcott, and Mrs Frazer, working a variety of sessions. All of our staff have a relevant and current childcare qualification and are dedicated to the children and to providing a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment for the children in our care.
We use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as a framework, activities are child centred with their abilities and interests being fully addressed.
The Pre-School is open to all members of the community and we are committed to providing equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and their families.
We operate sessional care for the children; offering morning and afternoon, term-time only sessions for your child. Our current session times are 09:00-12:00 and 12:00-15:00 and your child is welcome to attend for a minimum of three sessions each week, subject to availability. Our Admissions Policy states that children may enter the Pre-School the half-term that they turn two and a half.
We have our own outdoor learning area and private garden together with access to the wider School facilities. The class works under the ethos of Edlesborough Primary Academy; sharing the school’s vision and values and the same commitment to providing a vibrant and engaging learning environment.
Admission to the Pre-school is no guarantee of admission to Edlesborough Primary Academy. Applications for a place in our reception class are managed by Buckinghamshire County Council. For more information about admissions please click here.
