What have we been Learning?

Year 4 have settled wonderfully back into learning and have been tackling our new curriculum with much enthusiasm. We have already learnt SO much...

In English, we have been writing a narrative all based on the video clip 'The Dream-Giver' (https://vimeo.com/36833415). We have been focusing particularly on our use of ambitious vocabulary and how we can create vivid imagery in our readers mind! We are now moving onto Non-Chronological reports based on our own imaginary 'Flanimal'!

Useful Information 

Home Learning

Times Table Rock Star tasks will be set weekly. All children have their login details stuck on the inside cover of their Reading Records and it will match the multiplication facts we are rehearsing that week. Children also have access to Mathletics to practise any areas of maths.

Spelling Shed assignments are set weekly on Mondays. Children have a week to complete the assignments and they match to the spelling pattern we are learning in school. Login details are stuck on the inside cover of the Reading Records. 

Children are expected to read daily where possible, this recorded in their Reading Record and signed by a parent/carer. Please ensure that the Reading Record is in school on Fridays as this is when it is checked by an adult in the class.
