Reception Admissions
Our school is open to anyone and is non-selective. Applications are submitted through Buckinghamshire Council. If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
Since February, parents are no longer able to call the Buckinghamshire Admissions & Transport team. If you dial 01296 383250 you will hear an automated message advising you to visit their website. If you dial the main BCC telephone number, an advisor will inform you to complete a Contact Us form, which you can access through this link.
If Edlesborough Primary Academy is oversubscribed, it's published oversubscription criteria will be used to decide the order in which applicants will be offered places. If you have not been offered a place for Reception 2024 and would like to appeal, please do so through Buckinghamshire Council.
Timescale for Reception 2024 appeals:
- Deadline for parents to lodge their appeal: 15th May 2024, midday
- Appellants will get at least 10 school days (14 calendar days) notice of the hearing date
- Decision letters will be sent out within 5 school days (7 calendar days) of the date of the last appeal to be heard
In-Year Admissions
Should you wish to apply for an in-year place, please complete this application form and return it to the School Office with the necessary accompanying documentation.
If Edlesborough Primary Academy is oversubscribed, it's published oversubscription criteria are used to decide the order in which applicants will be offered places. If you have not been offered a place and would like to appeal, please do so through Buckinghamshire Council. Please note, the deadline for lodging an appeal is within 20 school days of the refusal letter. The appeal will be heard as soon as possible.
Pre-School Admissions
Application forms are available from the school office, where completed forms should be returned to. Applications for a place in Pre-School will be processed by the school. Verbal or telephone applications will not be accepted.
Applicants will be notified by telephone and letter of the outcome of their applications. Applicants to whom places are offered will have seven working days to either accept or decline the offered place. After seven workings days, if no confirmation is received, the place will be offered to another family.
Where no place is available, the applicant will be advised in writing and added to the waiting list. The order of the Waiting List will be determined in accordance with the priority allocation list above and availability of sessions remaining.
Admission to the Pre-school is no guarantee of admission to Edlesborough Primary Academy.
